CHINA: MARKING ON PACKAGING

1/9/2017

To our valued customers,

Please be advised that China Customs have started to do random inspections of the marking on cartons requesting that the “Made in China” marking now needs to be extended to say “Made in China for Australia” (or the country it is destined to). There has been nothing official released & it may well be a random crackdown on export compliance. Please take this opportunity to also share with your suppliers & have them make adjustments to the markings on the outer cartons.

For safety, we suggest all suppliers follow this new rule to avoid problems while they meet customs inspection.

Keeping you updated,

BRi Customs Department
