Due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred, expected to impact the South East Queensland coastline this week, the Port of Brisbane has implemented several operational changes. Here are the latest updates:
Vessel Movement Suspensions
Maritime Safety Queensland has suspended inbound vessel arrivals to the Port of Brisbane due to heavy swells. Additional updates are expected, including potential evacuations of berthed vessels.
Terminal Updates
- Patrick Terminals:
- Imports: Operating as usual today (Day & Twilight Shifts) and tomorrow (Day Shift). Imports will close after Day Shift on 4 March 2025.
- Exports: Suspended until further notice.
- DP World:
- Imports: Operating normally today and tomorrow until 2300hrs, with the last import slot expected at 2200hrs on 4 March 2025.
- Exports: Suspended until further notice.
- Hutchison Ports & AAT:
- Imports: Operating normally until the end of Day Shift on 4 March 2025.
- Exports: Suspended until further notice.
Empty Container Park Closures
Several empty container parks have ceased operations due to safety concerns.
Operations are expected to resume on Saturday, 8 March 2025, pending weather conditions. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
