Dear Valued Customers

Australian Wharf terminals have recently completed their annual review, they are committed in continually investing in their systems and people to provide productivity and efficiencies for both their quayside and landside customers.

Wharf terminal increases and introduce new landside charge

The indication is that there will be increases to landside charges effective 1st of January 2023

At this stage we have not been updated on the increases to apply which will be via the transport carriers

  • Time Slot fee
  • Empty Slot Fee

Energy Charge

Please note effective 1st February 2023 an Energy Charge will apply on all import and export containers handled by Terminals. This Charge will be applied to the transport operator by Export and Import Unit via Road and Rail.

The Charge has been introduced in response to several factors that have materialised including adverse conditions, variations in the exchange rates between Australian and US dollars and continuing significant volatility in energy markets.

BRi continues to monitor any application of the charges working with Industry groups

If you have any questions or queries, please contact our dedicated Transport team.
