Dear Valued Customers,

Cyclone Alfred is expected to hit Southeast Queensland on Thursday, 6th March, with forecasts predicting it will be a Category 2 cyclone. As a result, export receivals at terminals have been suspended since Friday evening, and vessels are experiencing delays, as noted in the attached terminal notifications.

This week, we anticipate significant operational disruptions, including:

  • Vessel delays
  • Terminal closures
  • Empty park closures
  • Limited slot availability at terminals and empty parks
  • Traffic disruptions

The cyclone is expected to bring high winds and flash flooding, which will create hazardous conditions for transport operations.

We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate through these challenges.

Thank you for choosing BR International.
